The original A frames and timber boarding in this building were kept and treated with a fifty year woodworm guarantee. Keeping the timber boarding gives an extra thermo insulation barrier.

We made this staircase from solid ash with MDF treads and risers, the stairs have a double kite to the right. We can provide made to measure stairs to specific requirements using a wide choice of timber and finishes.

These green oak support posts were supplied by Vasterns Saw Mills, Cirencester, Glos. All timber on this project was treated and primed before fixing to ensure long life. The doors and window frames are made from solid Sapale hardwood.

This renovation project near Malmesbury was undertaken solely by DP Carpentry and Building Services. The roof tiles are man made riven edged slates laid on a Tyvec® breathable membrane.

We created these temporary support pillars from old railway sleepers which were sawn to size. The pillars then supported the structure of this building while we dug out and concreted new foundation. These new foundations were needed to support and maintain the building's original structure.

These floor joists are 9"x3" treated sawn softwood from A Grade Timber merchants in Cricklade (www.agradetimber.co.uk). The plumbing we used was traditional copper because of the rural location of the property where vermin could potentially cause problems.
